CHILD ABUSE. bev's canon is a dark one for child characters, and bev herself is a victim of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of her father. in addition, in the town of derry, maine where she resides, it's implied that the evil of IT keeps the adults from noticing anything is wrong. this coupled with her experiences at home has made bev very wary and mistrustful of adults, and especially men in general. she will likely be standoffish or seemingly suspicious for no reason at times with adult male characters. that being said, she wouldn't go out of her way to avoid interacting with them under the right circumstances.
