[ a small box of items will be found on beverly's bed whenever she comes inside. a new jumpsuit in her size is among the items as well as a gray knit jacket with a hood and big buttons and navy colored cloth shoes. there's a crumpled pack of cigarettes too with 6 still inside. they might be a little stale, but they're in decent enough shape. there's a hand written note that just says: ] - Micro + Hotdog
[ the first thing bev thinks, when she sees the box on the bed, is bill. more of bill's things, from his room, or - well, no, that's not very logical. the thought dissipates as soon as she touches it, because it's real and bill, wherever he is, he's not here. what's inside causes a startled smile, like good news is something she's unused to. the new jumpsuit is awesome, the color looks incredible and it seems like it'll actually fit her. she's been missing her boots like crazy, so the shoes too are a welcome change from whatever she's been stuck with normally. she'll start to change immediately, only noticing the pack of cigarettes as it tumbles free of her new coat.
o blessed nicotine. hallowed be thy name. there's a moment where she doesn't know how to thank him. she could visit, but - she doesn't actually know where he lives. so she falls back to texting, which doesn't seem appropriate but she'll get used to it quickly enough, not realizing a modern teen her age would text and not think twice about it. ]
[ frank isn't good at texting, and he's even worse at accepting gratitude. the response comes almost a day later than her message, and it's super predictably lame. ]
you know it plus like who wants to approach two old dudes and a dog at a welcome booth perv alert much?
[ "POOR BEARS" no it's true though. the most wild animals bev's ever come into contact with have been stray dogs, but it's weird to think of a whole woodland without forest creatures dwelling there. ]
i bet u can handle it just remember the hills have eyes ok
(Bev will find in the middle of where she sleeps a carefully folded up square of cloth. The cloth itself is worn soft and mostly useless, as it was just for the intention of holding what was inside. Inside being a handmade pin and a folded up note written on some floral-print scrapbooking paper.
His writing on it is a little shaky, as if he had either written the letter quickly or emotionally- and knowing Eddie? It was probably a combination of both.)
Bev-
Back on the station I made one of these for you, but that didn't come through with me. This is technically Richie's.
Take care of it for him, okay? He wouldn't wa- want anything to happen to it I don't think.
I gave Bill's pin to Max. I hope that's okay. She...kind of is a lot like us I think
And I gave
Jake has Bill's bike. It felt weird having one of the Losers' Club having the bike and not...being Bill? Does that make sense? I don't know. Jake will take good care of it. I know he will. I trust him.
I trust you. With this. It's just us two now so we gotta stick together more than ever.
[ eddie's note will be written on a rather beaten-up square of paper bev scavenged. she'd have just written on the back of his letter, but she wants to keep it. if she ever gets her stuff back, this is going straight in her backpack. she wants more memories of the losers to keep, as morbid as that sounds. ]
Eddie,
Thank you for the pin, I'm gonna wear it all the time.
Max is like us. I get it.
Jake too. He kinda reminds me of a young Bill, actually. So good call there.
I'll keep Richie's safe until we see him again. You know we will.
Missing Bill reminded me that it won't be forever. We all belong together. So long as we remember that, we can survive anything.
Love, Bev
[ she'll leave it folded up on his pillow, not ostentatious but visible. ]
[Look at her using emojis. This canon brother from another mother is so proud.]
Logan did most of the work, but I'm glad you like the spot we picked. Now you can use it whenever you want. It belongs to all of you more than it does me.
Hey, it's a step up from Jacob. I don't think Eddie realizes that's not actually my full name.
probably 3/17 or 18 whatever is clever
I YELPED!!!
